"Hmmm.  Looks like dey're gettin' close to dere exPURRation date", says she.

"But wen all is said an' done, dey still tastes pretty darn good."

"Crunchy!"

DANTE & DYLAN: THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE AIR

This is an animated GIF I made in 2013 of Dante and Dylan in the back yard.  Each of them has their own business to attend to.

Dante is digging industriously and Dylan is conducting a security surveillance.

If you are familiar with Dante you will know that he is digging for a singular PURRpose, and that has specifically to do with the 'end' product (if you get my drift).

As for Dylan he is constantly on high alert for any possible lurking danger.  He is so encompassed by his security precautions that he seems totally unaware of Dante's dastardly doings.  Oh well, he'll know soon enough once Dante let's him know 'there's something in the air'.

They're so sympatico!

DOMINO WITH DANTE: THE GETAWAY!

This is an animated GIF I made in the summer of 2012.

Dante seems totally undisturbed while Domino makes a quick getaway.  She sure does a good balancing act, doesn't she?

P.S.  The head in the background belongs to their Daddy.

DYLAN DOES THE GARDEN

Over the years Dylan has shown his appreciation for the garden.

Here he is sitting among the flowers on a garden bench totally at one with nature.

Here he presents a handsome foreground to the greenery all around him.
"I am nuffin if not a gardin ornimint", says he.

Dylan is also very attracted to the wiegelas.

He's very nosy when it comes to inhaling their scent.

His moods are quite changeable when he's in the garden.  He can be alternately (or even simultaneously) inquisitive, awe-inspired and at times downright PETulant.

This is a good example of his awe, and how do I know that?  From Dylan himself.
"Awe-shucks!" says he.

However, Dylan's favourite garden passtime (or should I say 'pusstime'?) is drinking from the birdbath.  There's nothing quite like a little 'bird soup' to quench that thirst!

And then there's always a butterfly or two for afters.
What's NOT to love?

DYLAN & DANTE IN BROTHERLY LOVE

Here's more pictures from late summer 2009.  They really show the closeness between Dylan and Dante that only grew over the years.

Dylan's busy primping while Dante waits for him to be ready.

Dylan's moistening his lips and Dante's still waiting.

And then there's one last smack of the tongue ...

... before the ultimate 'smackeroo'.

Mmmm-wah!

Love is in the air; then, now and in PURRpetuity.

DANTE & DYLAN: THE KISS

Dante and Dylan had much affection for each other.

Whenever they would greet, there'd be either a head butt ...

... or a kiss!

No limits to brofurly love, here folks.

3-Ds TOGETHER AGAIN

It was always a rare occasion when I could get a picture of my 3-Ds together, so I don't have very many of them.

Here are a series from the summer of 2014 in the front garden:

You will note that Dante tends to stay in the same spot while Dylan and Domino move around.  Dante was busy deeply inhaling the scent of the weigela flowers.  It was his favourite place in the world.  And that is where he (or more accurately, his ashes) are lying still.

Your brother and sister miss you, Dante, but I know you'll always be with us.  The 3-D Cats, just like the Three Musketeers, are legendary.

DANTE FOREVER

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Lacocoon Dante.

January 15, 2002 - July 21, 2016

I have written a little about Dante's life and passing on his blog "All About Lacocoon Dante"If you would like to make comments, please do so there. The link is provided in the sentence above.

I will continue to post pictures of Dante on the 3-D Cats blog, along with pictures of Dylan and Domino, of course, as a tribute to Dante's memory.

"Dante is Forever"
