DYLAN AT THE END OF HIS ROPE!

Someone has tied that rapscallion, Dylan, to the tree with some rope.  Many of the suspects have gathered around to enjoy the view.

Who do you think is the culPURRit?

(Biggify for detail)

All I can say is -- shades of 'Gulliver's Travels'!

"Sawry, I cant help yoo cuz I'm kinda tied up at da momint!" says the befuddled Dylan.  He just didn't see it coming.

DYLAN AND DOMINO: TWO SHIPS IN THE NIGHT!

It's really daytime, but you get the idea!

Dylan has learned, over time (lots and lots of time) that it doesn't pay to get too close to Queen Domino.  To keep the peace, there must be a certain distance between them.

For instance, they can both occupy a place on the patio ...

... but not invade each others' PURRSonal space.

Domino is very strict about this PAWlicy.
"Royalty duzn't mix wif da rabbull", says she.

Meanwhile, the rabble is rolling around at a safe distance.

Until the rabble is roused and comes a little too close for comfort.
"Yoo has exceedid yoor PURRameters!" warns Domino.

However, it soon becomes apparent that the crisis has passed -- just like two ships in the night!
Queen Domino and her rabble are pointed in totally different directions.  This should make for safe passage until they each reach their final destination -- at home, inside with Mama!

DOMINO UNWOUND!

Auntie Susan took these stunning pictures of Domino lazing about on the front porch.  Domino obliged by keeping her eyes open, and looking completely bored.

There is a lovely play of light and shadow in all of them.

Domino's green eyes really stand out in this one!

And her catly disdain is evident here.

"Is yoo finished yet?" asks she.

"OK, cut!", says I.

After which Domino promptly breaks wind.

"I meant cut the camera -- not fart, you weirdo!"

'Nuff said.

TUXY TEA TUESDAY WITH DOMINO, CO-STARRING THE USUAL AND SOME NOT-SO-USUAL SUSPECTS!

Domino and I were invited to Auntie Susan's tea party just across the street.  It was to be a small gathering in her garden with just the usual suspects, i.e., Renate, Val, Susan, me and Domino.

I helped Domino to get dressed for the occasion, but after we took the first picture, she got rid of the hair ribbon because she thought it was just a little too fussy.

"I'm a straitFURward kinda girl!", she says.

First up, Domino greets Auntie Renate who admires her lime green and zebra frock.

Then she does a buzz by Auntie Val who's a little PURRYoccupied, so Domino gives her the back of disrespect.  "Harrumph!" says she.

"If dey is gonna ignores me, I'm goin' off to explore!", she exclaims.
Of course, Auntie Susan wasn't ignoring Domino.  She was following her around taking pictures.

And then Domino got nekked!  Surely her natural tuxy coat was fancy enough for this tea party.  After all, what's a little nekkedness amongst FURiends?  Auntie Renate seems to find it quite aMEWSing.

So totally unfettered, Domino roams free in the garden.  She wants to point out the picture of her that Auntie Susan painted on the fence -- just behind her.

"I likes modellin' in dresses, but nood modellin's da best!"

Her interest just mushrooms -- something like the toadstools under the tree.

"Dis place is a regulah Wunnerland!" declares Domino.  So I invited summa my FURiends, too."

Let me introduce you to the 'Unusual Suspects'.  If you look closely, you'll see Squirrelly, Mama Mousie and Baby Mousie, Coonie, Bun-Bun, Opawsum, Mr. Owl and the Humdinger, and last but not least -- Domino's deer friend, Buck!
"Now dis is wot I calls a parteh!

Much later after all of her friends had left, Domino took up a spot on the bench beside Mama.  She was all tuckered out and tired of listening to lady talk.

"Wake me up wen it's ovah", she said.

What a day we all had!  It suited us just to a TEA.

STEPPING OUT WITH DANTE AND DOMINO

I had a few friends over and we were sitting out on our front patio.  So the two most social 3-Ds came out to join us.  Dante and Domino are regular party animals!

Here they are keeping tabs on efurrything.  Of course keeping tabs is what tabbies do best, but actually Domino seems to be the one who's paying attention, while our red tabby Maine Coon is clueless.

The pretty lady is our good friend and neighbour, Susan, or as the 3-Ds call her "Auntie Susan".

Also part of the wine clatch were Auntie Renate and ...

... Auntie Val.  If you're going to clatch onto something -- it might as well be wine!

Dante, on the other paw, went out to check out the strange cars in the driveway, and then to briefly watch from the garden's edge.

Then he thought better of it, and took up his position on the steps.
"All da bettah ta see you wif!", says Dante.

 Domino is playing 'back-up'!

"We hasta step up our game if we're gonna keep dese girls in line!"

"Yup, our repewtashun in da nayboorhood is dependin' on us."

"Is serious bizness", declares Dante, looking as sober as possible.

But unfortunately, there were others who weren't so sober!  What a raucus ruckus!
"Dial it down a liddle, will ya ladies?"

Their words of caution seemed to have had an effect, so Dante and Domino can relax and return to their regular business of dog-watching.
"No poopin' on da grasses!" they sound in unison.

Even though Dante thinks as a stair stepPURR extraordinaire, he is certainly the 'star' of the show ...

... little Domino always comes from behind.
"If yoo noes wot's in front of yoo, yoo always has de CATvantage!", says she. "Acourse, sumtimes yoo hasta STEP on sumwun in ordah to gets ahead.  Luckily, Dante is soft an' squishy an' eezy goin'."

And speaking of easy-going, it looks likes those ladies just got up and went!
